Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2, successor to Guild Wars, is a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game for PC. It has been out since 2012 and still has a thriving community. The second expansion, "Path of Fire," was just released in September of 2017 and has had a lot of positive feedback. The genre is similar to other MMORPGs games such as World of Warcraft, but has a more friendly and casual community, unique combat mechanics (with toggle-able action mode/tab target mode), personal loot from tagging mobs, no gear treadmill grind, and uses a mega-server system so you can play maps and instances with friends on other servers.

There is a lot to do including general open world questing with map-wide meta event chains and world bosses, nonstop current events (holidays, world-changing current events, living world expansion updates), 5-man casual dungeons, 5-man "fractals" hardcore dungeons that have unique mechanics, 10-man raids, 5v5 structured PvP, and massive open world PvP matches between three servers in World vs. World. If you are interested, the game is completely free to play for the core game (with chat and trading post limitations), or you can fully unlock your account by buying one or both expansions (Heart of Thorns/Path of Fire). After buying an expansion, all future content released for that expansion is absolutely free with no monthly fees until the next expansion is released. I would recommend trying it for free and upgrading with both expansion packs as they each bring unique mechanics, maps, and gear to the game.

As a veteran player, I only play the World vs. World game mode with fight guilds or roam with friends. I currently reside on the Kaineng server so if you would like to join me in WvW make sure to join that server. I enjoy organized 15-25-man Guild vs. Guild fights. I main guardian, but can play mesmer, revenant, thief, warrior, and engineer. I have plans of starting up my own PvX guild [CULT] Cult of Denravi but I regularly roam on my private WvW guild [ImI] Maloik. I am waiting for WvW alliances to join a fight guild, but I commonly run with my friends in [Fate] Eternal Infamy ( visit them on YouTube! ). I have been in [SEAL] Phat Seals, [Rise] Living Among the Fallen, [TSO] The Sinclair Order, [EDGE] Journey's Edge, and [SoH] South of Heaven. I have previously been on Henge of Denravi, Dragonbrand, and Crystal Desert servers and I have alternate accounts on Blackgate, Fort Aspenwood, and Maguuma.
